EMC SAN Replication Capabilities

We are planning on having our EMC NS20 reconfigured. Currently it is made up of mostly NAS storage, but we want more SAN to get the benefits of enhanced performance and take advantage of the Clariion replication capabilities.

We want to be able to snap shot data and VMWare servers stored on our SAN at various points through out the day and we want to be able to bring up SAN based data and VMWare servers on our DR network without disturbing replication or the production network. We also want to be able to replicate various sets of data and VMWare servers in both directions (prod-->DR and DR-->) simutaneously.

We have been pushed towards an all EMC solution which is very expensive and of course EMC only supports highly available configurations.

I want to know if there is anything comparable to EMC RecoverPoint that I should be looking at.

I am not opposed to an all EMC configuration, but I have only heard what the VARs and consulting groups have to say.

Your thoughts and ideas are very much appreciated.

You can go with EMC Replication Manager, the new module does seems to have option to back ESX  VM.

Replication Manager is application consistent and also works with Celerra level but interacts with data directly at the backend Clariion.
