try click on start &gt;&nbsp;run &gt;&nbsp;type in &quot;dxdiag&quot; ...... It is stand for DirectX Diagnostic ..... run some test over there and see whether got any problems or not

I tried to do an update from MS, <br />

First thing you see is a problem, is quicktime, it studders, you can go into control panel with<br />
quicktime and set to save mode, not use DirectDraw, and it sees to work ok. <br />
<br />
Big problem is we have the software Wirecast by Telestream, and it uses the Directx stuff,<br />
and the Audio repeats, or echos when you play an audio file. <br />
Video appears ok. <br />
People at telestream can not help, <br />
I have wiped this laptop and put fresh copy of XP pro, and the drivers disk that came with the computer.<br />
Computer is 2 months old. <br />
Any Suggestins.
