I am using a flash AS2 app that is a shell app that loads other swf's. This works fine on teh web or on the hard drive.  I ma developing a VB app and i used the shockwave activex object, the SWF i load reads in an XML and iss successfukll in doing that. The individual SWF's loaded also read in an XML - these stopped working in the activeX.  loadXML("LearnIPT/xml/"+MyXMLToLoad+".xml");  I think its a path issue since the parent SWF works fine.

In AS2  how can i trace or display in the path, full path, where its looking for the xml.

the xml path for the individual swfs must be relative to the parent swf and not the individual swfs
