failing to remove entries from FireFox Bookmarks

Oddly enough, this is about the EE website. I bookmarked it (several times) and I then find the bookmark entries have no info in it and I cannot delete it. I think they were just expert-exchange.com.
(Recently I have bookmarked EE login in page and that works!)
How do I get rid of any such empty and undeletable FireFox bookmarks?

many thanks.

In Firefox select the Bookmarks Menu then organise bookmarks.

highlight what you want to get rid of and hit Delete on the keyboard.

Thanks but:

Sorry, Wadski, that does not work, either on the keyboard or on the right-click menu.

Anyone else? Or do you have any further thoughts, W?

I would firstly check the permission you have for :
%APP DATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxx.default\ (where xxxxxxxx is random characters) and make sure you are able to Modify.

FF2 stores bookmarks in:

%APP DATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxx.default\bookmark.html

Check you have permissions for that (if using FF2) or infact manually edit it.

FF3 uses SQLite to store bookmarks (same location but places.sqlite)

You may ned to install the SQLite add-on to edit this manually:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5817

Once you install the addon, click Connect Database and browse to select 'places.sqlite' and you can view all the bookmarks in the table 'moz_bookmarks'. You can also manually add, edit or delete bookmarks through this table
