Access 2003 and sandbox mode

Had a user whose access 2003 customized application kept crashing when ever she tried to make a change to it while in design mode.  She would get the crash dump that would tell the user to send it to Microsoft.

The user got back to and told me that they were able to fix it with sandbox mode and that it required some registry changes.   Unfortunately the user did not give me any further information.

Does anyone know what the user may have done to fix her computer crashing.
