Hi,
could you pls give a list of add-ins that a developer typically uses while coding in visual studio 2005 or 2008?
I am interested to know what do we use for generating comments, documentation, code snippets for reuse etc. I am not sure of what is really there to simplify the development efforts. please clarify, thanks in advance!

I have three of them:
Mztools
CodeSmart
CodeRush

MzTools and CodeSmart if you want assistance in Winform design.
CodeRush is very extensive but doesn't have any Visual Design support.

However any add-in you use, it will slow down your Visual Studio a bit.

hi Sethi,
Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that I am interested only in web application development add-ins specifically to generate comments and also documentation. I also came to know visual studio allows us to create code-snippets and reuse them. I am not aware of any of them how to use. It would be helpful if you refer any tutorial for them. Any beginners is very helpful. Thank you!

For code-snippets I am not sure. But for web CodeRush is excellent.
