What is pubpol1.dat file

My Windows service written on C# generates many of pubpol1.dat files that stays for long time.
What is this file and how I can find out what part of my code needs to be reviewd?
It's code from work I cannot share.

I think pubpol1.dat is part of the .net framework.  And a necessary file.

Thanks, I know that, I meant for what .NET framework/CLR need it and why many instances of it is generated for my Windows service. I'm trying to find out if this service is doing something wrong or it's part of .NET nature/fubctionality?
