To All:

Thank you very much for the suggestions.  I installed the VMWare Client application on my user's computer.  This resolved their issue

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but you should upgrade to IE7. It offers security and performance enhancements and is an all around better browser.

Additionally, IE6 is now two generations old.

Unfortunately IE7 has not been cleared by my company to be installed.

Is the "quickmksax.dll" file registered? If not, try registering it via the regsvr32.exe executable.

Proper syntax for regsvr32 can be found at this address:

http://www.ss64.com/nt/regsvr32.html

Also, IE7 is almost 3 years old now. It is very odd to me that it would take that long to approve what is a significant upgrade to a product, especially since it offers many enchancements (security, functionality, and other). I would press to get that application approved and installed... that is just my $.02 though.

quickmksax.dll description

It is a VMWare component. If registering it above doesnt help, try seeing if it is registered as an Addon in IE....
