More than one server name, more than one computer name
Hello,
I am running Apache, and my computer name is mx458, so other computers on our network can access my webserver by typing in on their browser http://mx458, is there a way I change the name so they can access it by typing in http://frankswebserver. Is there a way I can do this without changing my computer name?

but would the other computers be able to access it using frankswebserver, or do they have to configure their hostfile as well. I know that I can do this by having all the machines that connect to my computer configure their host file. But i will give it a shot

It will only work on mine, if i change the host name, only I can use http://frankswebserver.

Very kewl.
Try adding a DNS entry- Host (A) file (frankswebserrver - IP address) to the zone where the mx458 resides.
