color coded public folder exchange calendars

We have a user with a shared calendar that is separate from their main
calendar in publiv folders. The appointments in this calendar are color coded. When opened on
another user's Outlook, some of them show colors, others don't. I have looked
through all the options and can't seem to find anything related to this.
Also, searching has turned up nothing either. Any advice would be helpful.
We are running Windows Server 2003 advanced in a A/P cluster with Exchange 2003. Users are running Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.

Hi, carrjoe.

The color coding is almost certainly done with categories.  Color categories are user specific, meaning that we might both have a category named "Meetings", but I've used blue to color code it while you used green.  Of course if we both used green, then any appointment that either of us categorized as "Meetings" would appear green to both of us.  So long as we both have the same category name, then we'd see a color.  However, if I added a new category called "My Meetings" and made it red, then I'd see appointments with this category in red whereas you'd see them without a color.  Category names are plain text values in the Categories field of an Outlook item.  The color coding is user specific and cannot be shared.  Make sense?
