Oracle Cluster Backups using Failsafe Manager

I am using Oracle Failsafe to set and administer a Oracle 11g Cluster on Windows 2008.  Now I try to backup a database which is present on a shared disk to a sbt device.

The backups of archive logs and datafiles passes fine but when the control file autobackup starts RMAN fails. Why could this be happening. The logs are reproduced below

Put at the beginning:
CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK CLEAR;
in the parameter file.

Possibly the declaration of c1 there is unappropriate.

schwertner thanks for the suggestion. I am new to RMAN, what will the clear command do?

also I am backing up to sbt device so why should i configure a disk type device??

You can return any setting to its default value by using CONFIGURE... CLEAR, as in these examples:

RMAN> CONFIGURE BACKUP OPTIMIZATION CLEAR;
RMAN> CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY CLEAR;
RMAN> CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK CLEAR;
