SonicWall firewall configuration file transfer

I'm going to replace my firewall with new TZ210 but I don't want configure it manually,so it's possible to get configuration file from my old TZ170 then import it into the TZ210?

You can't, sorry. The units are too different, the config file is not compatible, the firmware is different on the 210.

The best you can do is to print out the "human readable" config from the TZ170 then work through it section by section and re-key it to the TZ210.

To do this you need to run the "Tech Services Report", this creates a .WRI file on your desktop (or where-ever you download it to) which you can then print or view on screen.

That's not true.

I am just after exporting settings from TZ170 3.4.0.0 and importing them successfully into TZ210 5.6.0.0 .

So far works great.

Sonicwall has a conversion utility through the mysonicwall website. I tried to import one from a tz170 to just to try it and it popped up a message stating that you have to upgrade/convert the file from a standard os settings file to an enhanced os settings file. The wizard walks you through  the process and it gives you the ability to select the version of appliance you are converting to, such as the tz210w.
