Why my new user doesn't appear in my outlook's GAL?

This is a single Exchange 2003 server, with roughly 30 users in my company. Recently, I added one new user, with email address enabled. But, to my dismay, this user doesn't appear on all my users' outlook Global address list.

In ESM, I did update both Recipient update services. I did a preview, this new user doesn't show up in the list.

What should I do to make it work?

Have a look in ADSIEdit at the user in question and checks the user's attributes. There should be one that says something like CN=Global Address List. You could compare your own user account's attributes to this user's attributes - perhaps the user has been attributed to a different address list (so for example, CN=Offiste Address List). If this is the case, you can simply change the attribute to the correct one.

Also, open ADUC, go to the user's properties. Click Exchange Advanced tab, and make sure that the checkbox for "hidden from address book" is not checked.

Check if the user is in the "All Users" list, if he is there, then it would take some time to be in the GAL, but your settings are ok.
