Exchange 2007sp1 Space on C: used up

Hi
I have installed exchange 2007sp1 into c:\program files\ Microsoft\exchange server but located the mail store on e:\exchange\Mailbox store.

I transferred my old mailboxes to to the new server but eventually they failed as my c:\ disk ran out of space.

I have discovered that under
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Mailbox\First Storage group
there are approx 34000 text files appeared called e0000000a or aa or ab etc.

Now I either need to relocate these or get rid of them but I have no idea what they are or what there purpose is or how to deal with them but i can't do much until i get some disk space back.

Any pointers would be most gratefully received.
Jo

Hi,

These files are your exchange transaction logs. You need to backup your exchange server to correctly delete these. (when you backup your server with exchange aware backup software, the logs will automatically be purged.).
You should not delete these manually, or you risk damage to your server.  You can move these logs if you need more space by using the commands within exchange.

Correctomundo.
But I had to use the EX Power shell to move them.
Thanks.
