Can I safely stop the ExMerge process in Task Manager?

I started Exmerge on a large number of people without checking my parameters.  It will take hours to run.  Can I safely stop the ExMerge process from Task Manager, or could it possibly screw up Exchange?

What are you using ExMerge for? Extract emails to PST-files?

Yea, I should have said that.  I am exporting from Exchange to PSTs.

Just kill it.
However check the mailboxes to ensure that the content is still there.

Simon (Mestha);
Your last sentence is what drove me to this question.  Are you talking about the PST files' contents, or the Exchange store?  If there is a possibility that it will damage the Exchange store I will let it run.

If you copy to PST-files you can just kill the process without any loss.

The reason I said that was it depends what switches you used, if any. If you don't know then you need to check to see if it was copying or removing content from the mailbox.

You will not damage the mailbox store because exmerge is basically doing the same thing that an Outlook client does. It isn't changing the store directly.
