Exchange Management Console 0x8000FFFF

Windows 2003 Server Standard 32-bit
- Server in a domain with Administrator Privileges
- Exchange Server Management Console to view Exchange hosted on a local 2008 64-bit server

The reason why I put the Management Console on the 2003 server is because one of the messages that Backup Exec 12 Rev 1364 posted every time I try to run a backup.

V-79-57344-65286 - To back up Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you must install the Exchange Management Tools for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 on the media server. The Management Tools can be installed during a custom install of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

I have the Management console installed but now the problem is when I open the console it posts this message,
"--------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------
The following error(s) were reported while loading topology information:

get-ExchangeServer

Has anybody seen this problem before?   I gave the server domain admin privileges.

it seems the either AD is not contactable or it is not able to communicate with AD with current credentials.

lets try this command remove cached credentials from the exchange

Start> Run> control keymgr.dll to remove the cached information.

Actually, we are a step closer now though because I can see the users in the A/D now.  Thank you very much for your help but I'm still getting the message above.

any update.....
I haven't had a chance to get to this.  One question though, what do you mean replicate domain controllers? EMC?
buddy active directory domain controllers,... from active directory sites and services....
