Setting Timeout of ObjectDatasource - C#

I have an SQL query that is taking about 6 mins to run - agh!
See here if you want to solve that which would then solve this as it wouldn't be an issue.

I need to set the Command Timeout for an ObjectDataSource that is running off an xsd file backed by XML.  I can't see anywhere to add the Timeout property.
A lot of sites talk about creating a custom DAL but I don't know what this is, can't see any .cs code for the xsd and wouldn't know where to begin adding it or how to then reference the timeout from the actual aspx / cs pages.

Hope you can help.
Doulbe points if you can fix both questions ;-)
