replacing a server nt with 2003 sbs

i have a nt server that crashed, it was the domain controller for the network. i want to replace it with a 2003 sbs. what information do i need to have and setup so that i can replace the server without any problems?

    If the server is not available, then you have to start from scratch.  Otherwise, if you can restore the server, you can then perform a migration.

    Define: "Without any problems"

    There are no supported upgrade paths to SBS 2003 from NT4.  You would need a working NT 4 domain controller machine to migrate the user accounts to the new 2003 domain.  At this point, it looks like your best bet is to start from scratch.

    (NOTE: that said, if you want to experiment, you MAY be able to upgrade the NT 4 to 2003 SBS since going to 2003 IS a supported path, though SBS 2003 is NOT.  Not being supported doesn't mean it won't work; just that they won't help you and it MIGHT NOT work).
