Setting up group policy for WSUS 3.0

So can any one please help me with GP for server 2003 r2 and xp and wsus 3.0 sp1
I am not understanding the GP changes and where they need to be made and how.
If any one could please decode this and give me the registry changes in LAYMANS explanation thank you very much

OK now I have a vista machine that does not like the WSUS server, the second one is how do I point the XP client to the WSUS server I ran the diag and it said this was the only thing missing

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates   -> Windows Update->"Specify intranet Microsoft update service location"
