I believe you should be able to insert a TEXT BOX and blace it completely...."COMPLETELY" over the email disable it.

The text box will act as a buffer and will not allow the email link to be clicked....

Additionall, you may need to stretch the text box over the entire SECTION in order for it to work. Just test and play with it. Sometimes Crystal acts strange when using text boxes in this way and sometimes requires that the entire section be covered by a text box.....BLANK TEXT BOX..of course.

    Assisted Solution

Verify the format of the object
    Right click the field
    Click the HYOERLINK tab
Ensure it is formatted as NO HYPERINK

I've already tried all your suggestions but it doesn't work. I also tried to create a formula to replace the value of email field but neither can't solve my problem. What i did is that i changed "@" sign with "<at>". I know this is not good but at least my QA accepted it, lol. Anyway, thanks for your comments and I will distribute the points for your effort.
