Microsoft Excel 2007 Hangs When Cutting And Pasting To One Particular Worksheet On Vista

A customer of ours recently contacted us to say that she was having problems cutting and pasting data from one worksheet within an Excel 2007 document to another. It's only one particular worksheet proving to be a problem. For example, I can easily cut and paste text from worksheet 1 to worksheets 2 and 3, but if I try pasting to worksheet 4 Excel will hang for around 20-30 seconds before implementing the data. This will even occur if I'm only pasting two or three lines. If I copy and paste text as opposed to cutting and pasting we have absolutely no issues whatsoever.
I asked the user to e-mail me the document so that I could test it from our offices. Using Excel 2003 on an XP platform threw up no problems, so I decided to test it using a Vista PC using Office 2007 from within our office environment. I encountered exactly the same problem as the user.
So far I have tried saving the document as different file types (Excel 97-03 Worksheet, Macro-Enabled Worksheet), have disabled Windows Defender, have tried moving the data to another document (problem persisted) and have just opened the Task Manager and monitored the CPU/Memory Usage while I cut and paste. As soon as I hit 'paste' the CPU usage for Excel.exe soars to 50 and the memory gradually gets larger. Once the paste is complete the CPU returns to 00 and the memory usage gradually gets lower before settling.
I'm not overly familiar with the workings of Excel, so I'm not sure whether there could be any formulas active that are causing this particular problem. The only difference between this worksheet and the others is that this has considerably more lines of data (around 240, whereas the others average around 35/40).
If anyone could provide me with any possible explanations or troubleshooting methods I'd be most grateful! Thanks a lot for your help.

Thanks very much for your quick response rorya. I could certainly give it a go, though there is a lot of information within the various workbooks and it may take a while to manually overwrite it all!
I just need two sheets - the problem one and one other, and only a small sample of data, as long as the problem still persists in the stripped-down copy! :)
