Why am I getting a virtual memory to low error after moving pagefile.sys to another partition?

We have an SBS 2003 server with a 146GB Hard drive. The C: partition is only 20GB. I moved the Virtual memory to the D: partition to free up 4gb or so of space. When I rebooted I got a "the virtual memory is too low" error in the system tray. It did free up space and achieve the desired effect. Is there a way to disable this error? Will performing the pagefile move have any other undesrired effects?

Thank you...
