Red5 application installer doesn't like IcedTea

I've gotten Red5 0.8RC2 installed and running on a Fedora 8 server, which uses IcedTea 1.7.0 for Java.  But when I load the installer page in a browser, all versions of all the demo applications give this error:

"Version Mismatch: The application version selected does not match the servers java version, please try again"

I assume that Red5 isn't detecting IcedTea's supported Java version properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
