Can SQL Server 2005 RS be used to schedule, run and export a Crystal Report? I have someone telling me that it CAN, but I have never heard that this was possible. I do know that certain versions of VIsual Studio have Crystal Reports BUNDLED in it, but again, I've never know SQL Server 2005 RS to be able to work with Crystal Reports.

Can it??

I don't think so since Crystal requires an application or viewer to run.  You might be able to schedule an application that displays the report.

With what you know,...do you see this as strictly a "display" of data saved within the report itself? No interaction with the SQL Database? In other words, it would NOT be able to refresh data?

That depends on the application.  You can make it possible to refresh the data.

Basically, I have someone that is trying to ADD a Crystal Report to their CORPORATE website for clients to login, process and export/print data.

Can this be done, they have VS with Crystal Bundled. The report was developed using CR XI ...outside..Of there VS program.....

Here is a tutorial that should show you how to build the applicatiion and install it.  You can then use Windows scheduler to schedule the application
