Web Training

We do trainings for our clients and typically our clients will have onsite and remote employees. With our trainings we use a Power Point and a DVD. We are using Go to Meetings Webinar which cannot play the DVD in real time. So we are looking for other options as this severely impacts our training.

It was suggested to me to have the DVD on our server and provide a link for the trainer and all remote individuals to access. Is this possible?  Also, what other options are there? Any help is greatly appreciated.

playing a dvd over a wan is not really going to work as wan is not usually stable enough for the dvd timings you get a similar problem doing an install from a remotly mounted dvd you will have to think about using a streaming web server

I was thinking about trying it with an iso image of the dvd instead of running it from a DVD player/  I'll test it out.

In case, a streaming server is my only option////any suggestions? are there free one's available? and tips for setting one up?
well what are you like with linux then

I'll download and try the videolan, I believe that should do the trick. Thanks,
just make sure you wan has enough bandwidth as per the videolan web page as you can just stream your dvd by using a capture card through videolan to a stream from your ip address
