I'm trying to write a code in ASP.NET 3.5 using MSXML2
However, type 'MSXML2.XMLHTTP40' is not defined

ASP.NET doesn't recognize: Imports MSXML2

In my Widnows XP, I don't have any: c:\windows\system32\msxml2.dll
What is missing here or what should I install to be able to use MSXML2.dll

        Dim xmldom As MSXML2.DOMDocument = New MSXML2.DOMDocument

        Dim xmlRoot As MSXML2.IXMLDOMElement

        Dim xmlNode As MSXML2.IXMLDOMNode

    Accepted Solution

you can download the component for example from

register the component on your computer using regsvr32 commad.
Then you should be able to add msxml2 as a reference to your project.

    Hope this helps!
