I like to have an idea as to what is involved in swapping local disk drives

This is a production system and it has c:\ drive for OS system files and another drive K:\ which is also ( 6 disks Raid 5) a local drive. Besides these 2 LUNS  there is a MSA. Drives on the MSA are clustered between 2 servers

If I want to swap the K:\ drive ( 6 disks RAID5) with another 6 Disks of RAID5 of different capacity, can it be done when the production system is up.and functional  Also how will it take to configure RAID 5 for the 6 Disk group

What I would do is bring the new raid online as  a different drive letter copy over the data and then change the drive letters then reboot.

When 6 dirive group is iconfigured as RAID does it take time to get the parity disk to get in sync with other dirives , each 300 Gb
