CCNA Exam: Some Clarification

Hi,

1) This is related to CCNA exam which was mentioned at some prep Test
2) I need some Clarification
3) When we use IOS command: router#show interfaces ....
4) There are 2 things that i need to clarify
First: " Encapsulation on ARPA"
- What is ARPA?
- What does this statement mean?
Second: "Keepalive set (10 sec)"
- What is Keepalive? (Is it the same as Standby?)
- What does the above statement mean?
