Local Intranet and Internet Explorer 7

I am having trouble opening executable files on a mapped network drive.  I always get the security warnings and there are other conflicts too.  I can fix this by going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Local Intranet -> Advanced and add the name of the server in there.  This makes it work but only until I reboot.  IE automatically moves the server name out of Local Intranet trusted sites and to the regular "Trusted Sites" and I have to do the whole thing again in order to fix the problem.  I have the problem of security warnings even when the server is in "trusted Sites".  It seems like it must specifically be in Local Intranet Advaced.  I have played witht he various check boxes in the Local Intranet screen.  Is there any way to fix this?

Have you dropped the security level on the trusted sites zone all the way to low? If you do that does it still prevent you from doing what you want to do?
