HP Pavillion notebook dv6000 hard drive fail

I have HP Pavillion notebook dv6000 and hard drive is not working. I purchased new hard drive from reseller (not HP) to replace fail hard drive but the notebook is still not see the hard drive.

any ideas ?

Try going into BIOS and setting up harddrive manually.

I try to run hard drive test inside BIOS and it's said hard drive fail ...

I don't that option to manually setup hard drive like destkop

Try reseating the harddrive. If that don't fix it... you could try exchanging the harddrive again. Bad news, could be MB problem.

test both drives on a working pc; you can use an 2.5" to 3.5" adapter cable  http://www.mini-box.com/HDD-Cable-Adapter

and of course, if they are bad, you exchange them...

When replacing the hard drive, did you find any sort of adapter that should sit on the pins on the HD to adapt its interface to your computer system? If so, is it properly seated on the new hard drive?

You may have to reset the CMOS, if the autodetect function in BIOS has locked up or similar; usually that means finding and removing the CMOS battery, but if your BIOS setup has a "factory defaults" option, try that first.

start in the bios : do you see the disk there? if not, your drive, or your mobo are bad.

I try difference hard drive but no luck .. I guess it's a problem with motherboard.
