Forward All Outgoing E-mail Messages

I have a shared hosting account on an Apache/Linux server. I access the settings through cPanel. I have several POP/SMTP e-mail accounts set up for myself and my employees. My question is whether it is possible to configure things so that all outgoing messages are also fowarded to a particular address for archival purposes. I know how to do this for incoming messages, but not outgoing.

Hello Arbanak1,

From the most simple (technically speaking) to the more complex (but more end user friendly). Either solution should work.

Client side:
1. Make sure to Blind Copy (BCC:) the archive mail account. Nobody will know that you copied your archive email account.

2. Configure each mail client software to either add a BCC if this option is provided in your email client.

3. If you can enable an IMAP mail account (the one for the backup), add this account to each user mail client software. Then, configure the user mail account sothat the sent emails are not stored anymore on the user computer, but on the IMAP account. Bare in mind that anyone connected to the IMAP folder could gain access to the sent email and remove them.

Server side:
As it is a shared hosting, I believe there is not much you can do there.

Rgds,

Werner.
