Difference between a X2-10G and XENPAK 10G tranceiver

Hi experts,

I was just wondering what's the differene between the X2-10G tranceiver and the XENPAK 10G tranceiver?
Physically, the Xenpak looks longer than the X2. We have a WS-X6708-10GE blade and it looks like it can only fit the X2 Tranceivers.
Does Cisco make linecards that are specific to X2 and some to XENPAK?

Sorry, to answer your question, yes, there is a difference between the X2 and XENPAK transceivers.  Are you sure your module is a WS-6708-10GE? or is it a WS-6708-10G-3C?  Do a "show module" to confirm.  The WS-6708-10GE is XENPAK and the 6708-10G-3C's are X2.  You need to purchase an X2 or XENPAK transceiver based on which module you have.
Typo, should have been.

The WS-6704-10GE is XENPAK and the 6708-10G-3C's are X2.  You need to purchase an X2 or XENPAK transceiver based on which module you have.
