I have an Excel 2007 workbook, and whenever I tried to do the sort by selecting all the Excel sheet, I do sorting on column A and column G--but when I click on sort it it just hangs up and nothing come up. All the time, I have to close the Excel from Task Manager. Any help will be appreciated.

close the file;
make a backup of it somewhere;
In excel chose office button open command; in the file open dialog, click the down triangle to the right of the open button and choose open and repair . . .

it crashed on me too, probably the data in column g
I used the data tab, text to columns command to parse column g to separate columns based on the comma delimiter. I then sorted on column a and then g and still crashed;
I noticed the file opens in compatability mode. I'd suggest you do a save-as excel 2007 then retry it. Also, be patient, i'd wait 1-2 minutes as there is a lot of data and a lot of blanks;
You might also try to sort using data filters (data or home tab, then filter; click on a filter and choose to sort, first by A, then by G - which i'd still parse into separate columns)

i keep patient more then 10 minutes but when u check the the task manager it shows the excel is showing no repond....but i discover one during the repair of excel if i select extract data and convert to values or i select discover data. and after this when i try sort and it works fine...... is it be possible that the formulas or formatting of this excel sheet is stop sort to work on this sheet...

Glad to hear it works fine. It's not possible that the formulas or formatting stop sort from working. You should move a copy of the data to a new workbook for backup and to avoid further corruption.
