MS Outlook 2007 search indexing fails

On my pc with Vista HP 32bits and MS Office 2007 Enetrprise when I do a search I just get the message that searchresults are still uncomplete because indexing is still in progress (still 10.695 items to go) but there is no indexing progress and no search results.
The Windows search service on the other hand seems to work normally (results are show e.g. when typing a search term in the search field just above the Windows start button).

Is there a seperate indexing service for Outlook? service name?

How to solve? I believe I already tried the standard Office repair some time ago which didn't solve this issue but I not 100% sure.

The pc is running as a client in an SBS 2003 network hosting the exchange server, however this outlook search function works well on other clients.

Hello ruud00000,

Oultook 2007 uses Microsoft Desktop Search to index and search its content.

Rebuild the search indexer

Hope this helps!

OK worked (after trying several times). I stopped indexing for the archive.pst file now since it is pretty big (0,6Gb), left indexing on now only for the outlook.ost file.

Thanks!
