Programe Removeal

Running Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit:

I have a program that is not list in the 'programs and features' of Windows Vista.  I used Revo Uninstaller, but that does not list it either.  I could just delete it all together, but then there might be some left over corrupted paths and registry entries that I cannot get rid of afterward.

... any ideas on what I could do to properly dispose of the program?

You could look in C:|Program Files\ for the folder where the program live and look for something uninstall.exe or similar.
Possibly this will help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Also ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ is a very well known cleanup tool.  If you run it and go to Tools, there is a list of programs you can uninstall.  I'm nto sure if this is identical to the list in Add/Remove Progs.
I had a similar problem and solved it by reinstalling the program in question and then letting revo uninstaller do its job.  This seemed to provide revo with enough info to do the complete removal.
Your uninstallers are kept in C:\WINDOWS\Installer    and if it is there windows should show it in the add remove programs.

easiest way to get to add remove programs in vista is to goto START/RUN and type in Appwiz.cpl

If it is not in the list then the uninstaller is not in c:\windows\installer\
If the program doesn't have an installer/uninstaller in its folder then you could try running the initial install package again i.e from disk or re-download it and this should give an option of removal.

or you can trace an install and see what it changes and what it puts where and then remove them manually. There are a number of install tracing programs available which can monitor installs and do full uninstalls after monitoring the install of course.

hope this helps
