CRM METABASE DB got deleted

Our CRM DB - "METABASE" got overwritten with the wrong backup and we don't have a good backup of it to restore to, is there a way to repair it?

Yikes!  Without your metabase, you'll lose all of your customizations.  There is no built-in capability within MS CRM to restore the metabase, this would be more of a SQL Server question.  However, if you exported all of your customizations as an XML file, then you should be able to re-import that (after re-installing MS CRM) to get your customizations back.  Your developers (or CRM partner, if you used one) is likely to have a copy of your XML customizations file ... even if it's a bit old, it will be better than trying to re-create all of your customizations from scratch.
You may want to check to see if maybe your IT dept archives old backups.  Maybe there is a copy of the metabase somewhere that's a bit older.
Beyond that, I don't think there is any way that you can restore the metabase.  You may want to ask how to restore a deleted database on a SQL Server forum just to see if there is something that someone there might have to offer.

Ouch... well I'm in process of searching... desperately... for a metabase backup. I restored the metabase from our test environment to... test.

We found a backup. My job is saved! ha... ha... ahem.

Thanks for your reply. It wasn't what I was hoping to hear, but from the lack of other solutions, it seems to be the only answer. :)
