My.settings not saving

im using 2008. And ive got some user settings set up.
But i cannot save them. Ive tried BUt it does nothing.
THen i check my file MyApp.exe.config in the debug folder and the settings properties are there but not the values.

any ideas?

    now they are saved and i cant retrive them. But they are not in the expected MyApp.exe.config file.
    DOnt know where they are stored!

    They are stored in the local settings folder as I remember, in the case the setting scope is user.
