When I add a Crystal Report Viewer in Visual Studio 2005 (ASP.NET) I get the following error - 'Unrecognized configuration section configuration'
When I add a Crystal Report Viewer in Visual Studio 2005 (ASP.NET) I get the following error - 'Unrecognized configuration section configuration'. This is due to code that is added to the Web.config file. I don't know enough XML to be able to edit the code.

Can you show the changes that were made to the web.config file?

The addition of the Crystal Report Viewer has resulted in the addition of a <configuration> element towards the end of the code. I have marked this with the words EXTRA CODE ADDED HERE.

Many thanks LearnedOne, that has done the trick. The XML code I sent you had not been touched by human hand but was the result of adding the Crystal Report Viewer to the project. My lack of XML knowledge and experience meant I could not manually sort out the problem. I am awarding the points but if there are any final pointers on this I would be grateful. Cheers D
