Hello,

I encountered this problem. When I check the file association of *.msc it pointed to other application.

Thats why whenever I click any administrative tools  it says " ACCESS DENIED"

If you experience the same.

Just change the file association. By following this procedure:

Go to start --> Control Panel --> Folder Options then click file types, locate MSC (on filetype extension)

Click CHANGE and Browse to windows\system32  locate mmc.exe

I hope this helps
