How to use oonsource software

I am planning to start a graphic and web design company and for that I want to use open source software like GIMP,Inkscape, JOOMLa for my design work, so for using these software do I need to  opt any kind of license from them or I can directly start the work by downloading them?

    Download and start working. As long as software goes under GNU/GPL 1 / 2 / 3 license you may use it right away.
