Can I create a soft partition over a RAID 5 volume ?

Please let me if it is possible, and it doesn't break something.. :-)
RAID 5 constitute of 5 disk and I wanna create 2 soft partition using the newly created RAID5 volume.

Shouldn't be a problem however there are some best practice guidelines you should follow when creating these.

Have you considered ZFS?

Indeed.

I have 6 TB in raid 5 (so 4.5 TB.)

And i have divided it into 2 disks. So there is no problem in doing that ;)
