installing xp WDS from scratch through WDS without sysprepping

i have about 7 old different computers most without cdrom drives that i would like to install xp to using windows deployment services on server 2008 evaluation.

ive searched for guides on installing xp through WDS but all i can find is guides that tell you to setup one computer with xp installed then syspreped to an image

my question is is it possible to install a untouched copy of xp through WDS using the cd files without creating a sysprep image

I think using WDS in the way you want to only applies to Vista and up....
WDS takes advantage of how the Vista install works, aka no dos mode etc..
Looks like the only way to install XP using WDS is using an image as you have found
