Can't create a distribution list in Exchange 2007 nor see it when created from AD

When attempting to create a new email distribution list using the New Distribution Group wizard from within Exchange Server 2007, it fails with the attached error -Screenshot attached.  I also have created a universal distribution group from within Active Directory that does not appear in the Exchange 2007 Distribution Group section of the Recipient Configuration.  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you Rajith - All I had to do was restart the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant as directed in your link.  Issue is now resolved.
