Dates are not stored in any format.
The format you seee the date in is controlled by the format property of the field or the control on a form.
How are you planning to copy the data?

Lemme explan it clearly... I have  data like this in notepad

810329
810405
810412
810419
810426
810503
810329

those are the dates in the  format YYMMDD

Now If I copy and paste the data into  access table dates field ...they are copied into as
810329
810405
810412
810419
810426
810503
810329
I could not find a property to view  the date format in YYMMDD in Access ..

Or how can I change the above data to MMDDYYYY????

If you are just coping and pasting to access, I would make a pit stop in excel to convert them.

Put this into cell B1
=CONCATENATE(RIGHT(A1,4),LEFT(A1,2))

copy it, and paste it down the column
then paste your dates to column A, copy column B and paste that into Access.

Change it to this for the slashes
=CONCATENATE(LEFT(RIGHT(A1,4),2),"/",RIGHT(A1,2),LEFT(A1,2))
