Hello,
I need to run a task from windows task scheduler that only wil run if te system is logged on.
For other reason the system has to be logged off otherwise.
So i need a solution like run a command from the scheduler that simply does a login to the system
And a task that performs a logout after the job is done

Is there any solution to do so?

Task Scheduler is not an option as it works when the user is logged in...

It it in network we can think about remote log in at a specific time,

Note this :

Important If you turn on autologon, using Windows XP becomes more convenient. However, using this feature can pose a security risk.

This is the way to login, and log of you can use the common command

Shutdown -L

in your script to log of.

So the best way is ...

Use the automatic log in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231

Then create a schedule for the user who has been authenticated in the auto log in.

Then Create a batch file with Shutdown -L and execute this batch file at the end of the Task or your script.

Thanks foor the reactions. shutdown -l is fine for logoff after the script has done his job.
But no solution for logging on.
The computer has to run a task at night while different users use the system by day.
All logging in on their own domain account. So turning on the auto logon feature is not an option in this case. Beside: the PC is always on so autologon will not work.
So I 'm looking for some command or script that will logon as if it was a user typing his / her credentials.
For this moment I use an autologon terminal session from another PC thats is locked.
But that is not the way it shoult be.

Try using a Task scheduled in a specific time with shutdown -R(restart) , and enable autologin, so at that time it will restart and then it will log in using auto log in.

The solution is acceptable to me but is not applicable when on the same computer more tasks where running permanently.
