Hello again been tasked with whether we can/ should change SP_CONFIGURE 'open objects'
at the mo it is at 2147483647 bytes
after reading http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924947 and others provided in related question, my gov thinks this will help us?

What is the problem you are trying to rid yourself of?

No I did not. Now that I have, do you have a test environment?

severval as db is over 10gb i thought best to restore on couple for testing
With these types of things, the truth of "Will I benefit from this change?" are typically only able to be answered by trying it out. Some solutions like this will benefit some but not all.

Thanks any more ideas?
I guess you will not get any benifit out of it, microsoft says "Now automatically configured. Setting has no effect."
