Hi experts

After installing ssl (Thawte) on my sbs 2003 r2 (mail.name.dk) I can not access /oma. The webmail works fine (/exchange) I get the following error after entering my credentiels:

Server Error in '/OMA' Application
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

I am not sure how solve this problem - I have tried some of the tickets on Experts exchange but with no luck.. Please advice.

That looks like the asp.net version has been changed from 1.1 to 2.0.
Run the Configure Internet and Email wizard from the management console, which should correct everything.

I am using several different domains on the SBS Exchange server, which I have setup manually. They all work from webmail. Do you think that the "Internet and Email wizard" will change that?

It shouldn't do. Depends how you have set them up though. SBS is designed to be run by the wizards, making manual changes can cause problems.

Hello Simon

I've run the wizard now and now im not getting the error everytime.
Now i also get is a blank page with nothing on.
The Url is like this:

http://mail.name.dk/oma/(S(icflwv45yncua555dsnjdi45))/oma.aspx

On other OMA installations i can see the folder strukture of outlook when i login via IE 8.

Kind regards
Rasmus

Does OWA continue to work correctly?
It may well be that the configuration of the OMA virtual directory is corrupt and it needs to be reset.

No actually it is the same as before now - no access from EI or Windows mobile and the same error comes up. Can you help me on the configuration of the OMA virtual directory?

I usually suggest that the virtual directories are reset.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=883380

Then after that run the configure internet and email wizard. That should get things back to the state that SBS expects them to be in.
