I've reached the windows XP Pro (32-bit) file size limitation for google desktop's cataloging of files, emails, etc.

Is there a way around this file size limitation (e.g., does google ever split up its repository into multiple files?)

Version 1 had a 4 GB max. When you hit that limit, no new index entries will be made. This size is not adjustable.
Version 2 should have no limit the index size

i've looked and looked and cannot find any Version numbers on the google download site.
The version displayed for download is what i've had for quite a while (as shown in About    in my installed instantiation)  5.8.0809.23506 - that would seem like version 5??

Where do i find  Version "2"  ?
