Change webpage from page.html to page

Hi Experts.  I am not sure if this is possible but I would like to have a particular webpage show up as www.website.com/page instead of how it currently is www.website.com/page.html.  I am using Homestead as the web host and really don't have much in the way of web programming skills so your patience is appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

Create a folder called page inside your root throw in page.html and rename it to index.html.

index.html will automatically load and will not display the extension

Keep in mind if you reference external objects (images/other pages) if they are not set as a full path and only as a relative path you will have to change your code slightly.

Sorry the delay.  I will accept your suggestion as I am sure it would work with a normal web but after sending Homestead an email asking how I could do this, they stated that feature/function/ability isn't available yet.  I do appreciate your help and patience.
