Touchpad not working

The touchpad for my Dell Latitude stopped working when I plugged an external monitor into my Notebook. Upon unplugging the monitor and rebooting, it still doesn't work.  USB Mouse does work however.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most laptops have a funtion key to turn off the touchpad.  Check that you touchpad is on.  Probably something like funciton 4.
SO it is not working at all?

Did you check your device manager ad make sure it is thee and workig properly?

Some notebooks have a button then can turn on and off the touchpad does your have it? if it does is it on?

Thanks guys.
If you go into the control panel and mouse.  Inside there is a tab called touchpad; there is a section called palm check.  Turn the sensativity down until is starts working again.  On the laptop we had this issue with we ended up turning it all the way down.
